Master Chef 2024

The Year 9 Master Chef competition took place yesterday with some absolutely show-stopping dishes of food.

Congratulations to Raphael, who was the winner in the Main Course category. Rafi dedicated his dish to his hero Eddie Abbew and made a 'creamy, crunchy Mediterranean dish of pistachio lamb koftas with a sweet and tangy apricot relish. The judges awarded him the winner for the lovely variety of flavours and the excellent presentation.

Keir was awarded second place for his main course dish fit for his hero, Muhammad Ali. He produced a home-made hot water crust pastry with a rich steak and mushroom filling. The judges were impressed with the idea, the awesome pastry and the super mash! Well done Keir!

In the dessert category, Tanish baked a chocolate lava cake served with Chantilly cream and raspberry coulis for his hero Muhammad Ali. The judges awarded him first prize and loved his great flavours and the consistency of his pudding.

Second place dessert was awarded to Anzar for his chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis, Chantilly cream and pistachio syrup. He dedicated it to his food hero, Gordon Ramsay. The judges were impressed by his ambitious dish and loved the pistachio flavours.
