We are one of the UK's top grammar schools. As a state school, education is free for all pupils. We are a successful state boarding school, rated as 'outstanding' across all categories by Ofsted.  Boarding at Lancaster Royal Grammar School costs only about a third of the fees payable at independent schools.  For these reasons, we believe we are an outstanding alternative to the independent sector.
