Oxford Old Lancastrian Dinner

On Tuesday May 6th 2025, the annual Oxford Dinner will take on a new format which will be more informal and will include partners.

The Cherwell Boathouse in North Oxford will be the venue for a buffet supper in the evening in their covered marquee which overlooks the river and punting station. It is a lovely location with free parking and is a 20 min walk from the centre of Oxford; buses from the centre and station are frequent. The cost will be considerably less than recent dinners in a College and will be £50 per head with a subsidised rate of £30 for current OL students. It has been so good in recent years to meet the students and hear of their times at LRGS and at Oxford

Please note that the student discount applies to OL students only, non-OL student guests will be required to pay £50 per head.

We plan to meet at 7pm with a welcoming drink of prosecco or orange juice, with the Buffet Supper starting at 7:30pm.

Dress code is smart casual, informal , optional jacket and OL tie or scarf　

Main Menu

Starter: Chicken Enchilada , avocado, jalapeno, coriander, sour cream.

Main: Beef Bourguignon and Pork Belly, mashed potato, seasonal greens, fresh baked bread

Dessert: Chocolate Brownie/Orange Crème Brulee

Vegetarian Menu

Starter : Asparagus with spring onion hummus and crispbread

Main: Mushroom Stroganoff, mashed potato, seasonal greens, fresh baked bread

Dessert: Chocolate Brownie/Orange Crème Brulee
