Oxford Old Lancastrian Dinner

On Tuesday May 6th 2025, the annual Oxford Dinner will take on a new format which will be more informal and will include partners as well as, we hope, a good attendance from current OL students at the two universities in Oxford.

We have booked the Cherwell Boathouse in North Oxford for a buffet supper in the evening in their covered marquee which overlooks the river and punting station (see above). It is a lovely location with free parking and is a 20 min walk from the centre of Oxford; buses from the centre and station are frequent. The cost will be considerably less than recent dinners in a College and should be at about £45 per head with a subsidised rate of £25 for current OL students. It has been so good in recent years to meet the students and hear of their times at LRGS and at Oxford

If you live within travelling distance of Oxford and would like to come to this lovely spot, perhaps with your other half, to meet up with a wide age-range of OL’s please do support this new venture. There will be a paying bar in the marquee and the dress code is smart casual (tie optional!). Please make a note in your 2025 diary and it would be wonderful to see you on a balmy Spring evening by the river.
